Motocross rider Robbie Maddison 'surfs' in Tahiti on his bike!
Of all the songs the Beach Boys ever wrote, not one was about motocross. That's because pretty much no one ever associated the sport with surfing before. At least, not until Robbie Maddison came along.
In a video by DC Shoes that's racked up over 2.6 million views on YouTube since it was published on Sunday, Australian stunt rider Maddison does what should be impossible: races his dirt bike over the cerulean waters of Tahiti ... straight into some seriously radical waves. Dude!
Of course his bike was specially made up for running on both water and land, but mostly this is a matter of nerves and skill. It's breathtaking and pure poetry in motion.
